Aim to be #1

I was checking out SEO software Market Samurai (meh) when I came across this market research graphic on the top 10 search results for Google.

The lions share of users click on the #1 result. There’s a huge difference between even the #1 and #2 spot. I used to be satisfied with showing up on the first page, but no longer. From now on if I rank a term, even if it’s not the one I was targeting, I’ll be turning my efforts to get that term to #1.

  1. Hi Howling Wulf. How do you like Market Samurai? I found their videos very helpfull. Do you know other similar SEO software? Thank you.

  2. I didn’t like it enough to buy it. I mostly use seobook.com, semrush.com, and seo quake plugin for firefox for my needs.
